Fly Further for Less with China Southern's "Zonal Special"
Mar. 24, 2009
China Southern Airlines has released a new two-zone airfare special, for travel from Australia to a network of 60 domestic destinations within China.
Passengers travelling to "Zone 1" destinations from Sydney or Melbourne can stop in the gateway city of Guangzhou or continue to 47 other destinations from just AU$688, plus taxes of approximately AU$250.
There are also 12 destinations available in "Zone 2" and prices start from AU$838, plus taxes.
"Our new two-zone special offers some of the best deals available to China at present," said James Liu, General Manager Australia for China Southern Airlines.
"The Zone 1 ticket enables passengers to fly to China Southern's hub of Guangzhou, and to major cities such as Shanghai and Beijing for the same price," said Mr Liu. "We also offer a vast range of other destinations within China at exceptionally good prices."
"We have also reduced our domestic taxes for travel within China, and Australian passengers can benefit from this with our special," he said.
The two-zone fares are available for sale until June 30, 2009, for travel between April 1 and June 30, 2009. Some conditions apply.
Taxes from Australia to Guangzhou are AU$250, current as at March 20, 2009, but can change without notice. For onward domestic travel in China there is an additional tax of approximately AU$30 depending on the routes travelled.
China Southern Airlines operates 5 weekly non-stop flights from Sydney and two weekly non-stop flights from Melbourne to Guangzhou, in China's south.
