May 06, 2009
Following the launch of the online check-in service on its Chinese website for flights departing from international airports in London and Stockholm, Air China launched the same service on the company's UK and Sweden-based websites on May 6.
At the end of April, this time-saving and convenient feature was enabled on the carrier's UK website for Air China-operated flights departing from London Heathrow, and is soon to be followed by Stockholm-Arlanda Airport and the Swedish website in May.
From 14:00 one day before till three hours before scheduled departure time, passengers can log on the official local website to check-in online, select their favorite seats and print their boarding pass on plain A4 paper. Once at the airport, travelers can check-in their baggage at the dedicated check-in counters.
Moreover, Air China has successfully launched an online enrollment feature for its Frequent Flyer Program on all European websites. Now one can profit from the benefits of being a PhoenixMiles member just by filling out the form online. During the first quarter of the year more than 800 new members have enrolled through these websites.
