Japan's First Low-Cost Carrier Peach Aviation Unveils Flight Attendant Uniforms

Peach Aviation Ltd., Japan's first low-cost carrier, unveiled to the media its flight attendant uniforms on Sep. 30 ahead of its maiden passenger flights in March 2012.
The uniform for stewardesses consists of a pink jacket, a pink scarf-belt and a grey skirt or pants. The uniform for stewards consists of a gray jacket with a pink pocket handkerchief.
The uniforms will be shown to the public at the JATA Tourism Forum & Travel Showcase 2011 to be held at Tokyo Big Sight in Tokyo's Koto Ward on Oct. 1.
Peach Aviation plans to begin operating flights connecting Kansai International Airport in Osaka to Fukuoka and Sapporo in March 2012, and from Osaka to Incheon International Airport near Seoul in May 2012. Peach Chief Executive Officer Shinichi Inoue said the budget airline had already tentatively hired about 100 cabin attendants. The company is to announce airfares around November which are expected to be about half those charged by major airlines.
