Peach Aviation to Launch Osaka-Taipei Service from Oct. 16

Japanese low-cost carrier Peach Aviation will open flights between Kansai International Airport (KIX) and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) starting from Oct. 16, CEO of the airline Shinichi Inoue said at a press conference held on Oct. 9.
At the initial stage of the operation, Peach Aviation will offer one round-trip flight daily between Osaka and Taipei. However, the service will be increased to 2 round-trip flights daily from Dec. 15 this year.
The regular fare for a single trip will be 7,080-28,880 yen (about 569-2,322 yuan).
Shinichi Inoue emphasized that, "The Taiwan route carries a bunch of passengers, which plays a key role in our businesses. We will be dedicated to exploiting its potential demand, so as to promote the Taiwan-Japan exchanges.
According to official statistics, there are 2 million passengers traveling between Japan and Taiwan province annually.
Apart from the Osaka-Taipei route, Peach Aviation has launched international flights to Seoul and Hong Kong.
