Fuzhou Airlines Starts Preparatory Work
May 03, 2013
Hainan Airlines Company Limited (HU) has started the preparatory work for setting up Fuzhou Airlines, which is still waiting for the approval from related authorities, including Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
As a co-founder of Fuzhou Airlines, Hainan Airlines has set up a liaison office in Fuzhou, responsible for communications and preparatory work for setting up the new airline. Furthermore, it has begun recruiting cabin crew from local for Fuzhou Airlines.
Currently, Hainan Airlines and its subsidiaries -- China West Air (PN), Lucky Air (8L), Tianjin Airlines (GS) and Capital Airlines (JD) -- are operating flights from or to Fuzhou. It is learned that these flights are likely to be operated by Fuzhou Airlines after it is established.
In recent years, Hainan Airlines has focused its development in Beijing market, and has used Terminal 1 of Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) exclusively. After Fuzhou Airlines is established, it will add more flights on Beijing route. With the introduction of Boeing 787 on international routes, Hainan Airlines may adjust its capacity. The airline is likely to put more large passenger aircraft, including Being 767, Airbus A330, on Fuzhou-Beijing route.
Hainan Airlines won SKYTRAX Five Star Airline Award for the third time for its excellent service this year. The airline is dedicated to making Fuzhou Airlines as a Five-Star airline as well.
