AVIC Xi'an Aircraft Industry (Group) Co., Ltd. is showcasing a large scale mockup of the MA700 at Airshow China held from Nov. 11-16 in Zhuhai.
MA700, a home-made 68-86 seated turboprop, will have a maximum take-off weight of 26,500 kg and a maximum range of 2,700 km, though it is best positioned to serve markets within an 800 km range. The aircraft manufacturer aims to make its first flight of MA700 in 2017 and be certificated by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) by 2019 before entering into service.
