On Dec. 31, an Airbus 330-300 aircraft of Finnair painted in a new Marimekko-themed livery touched down at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK).
The special Airbus 330, Registration OH-LTO, features the classic poppy or Unikko print of Marimekko. The plane will fly from Finnair's Helsinki hub to the airline's various Asian destinations from the end of 2014, joining a sister aircraft painted with a different color Unikko in 2012.
"Our two aircraft wearing the beloved Unikko livery are flying ambassadors of Finnish know-how, positivity and creativity" says Finnair CEO Pekka Vauramo.
