Jun. 05, 2015

A Boeing 737-800 aircraft landed smoothly at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport (KWE) on May 31 and joined the fleet of China Southern Airlines (CZ)'s Guizhou Branch.

The newly introduced aircraft, Registration B-1780, is the 17th 737 aircraft of the branch company, which brings the total available seats of China Southern Guizhou to 2,726 and further consolidates its dominant position in the region. What's more, the branch is expanding its fleet with an average of 3 aircraft per year in order to provide more convenience for local passengers. By 2020, the branch company expects to operate 35 Boeing 737NG aircraft and handle 7 million passengers.

This new 737-800 aircraft will be deployed on the Guiyang-Osaka route, as well as serve more domestic flights from Guizhou to Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing, help the airline to extend its reach to major provincial capital cities, and push forward the international flights to Japan and South Korea so as to achieve the full reach of its route network.

With its fleet expansion and capacity increase, the airline will reach the level of a medium-sized airline with operating rights of domestic, international and regional flights, and complete infrastructure and business functions.
