Dragonair & Cathay Pacific Announce Special Ticketing Guideline Due to Adverse Weather in China

As a result to the recent adverse weather in China, Dragonair and Cathay Pacific have announced special ticketing guideline for some passengers.
With immediate effect, all rebooking / rerouting charge will be waived for all tickets issued in Hong Kong (irrespective of fare type) on / before January 28, 2008, for travel involving Nanjing (NKG), Changsha (CSX) and Wuhan (WUH) between January 26 and January 31, 2008.
However, rerouting / rebooking charges will only be waived on conditions:
- Such requests are made on or before February 29, 2008, for travel involving Nanjing, Changsha and Wuhan between January 26 and January 31, 2008;
- Revised (new) travel date must be on or before March 31, 2008, and subject to availability. In which case, the ticket expiry date will be adjusted accordingly;
- The newly rerouted / rebooked sector must observe and conform to the conditions of the respective fare rule, e.g. black out dates, flight application, weekend / weekday travel, stopover charges, and applicable seasonalities by collecting additional / refunding difference (if any) as appropriate; and
- Re-issuance charges will only be waived due to the expiry of the original ticket.
Moreover, there is no waiver on cancellation and refund charges. Group ticket holders have to refer to their local travel agent while cancellation, refund, rerouting and/or rebooking may possibly be permitted without payment of any fee for frequent flyer programme award ticket holders but must refer to Asia Miles Service Centre.
