Jiangxi Airlines, a start-up carrier launched in 2016, stated it aims to commence international services within the next three years.
The Nanchang-based carrier also plans to add two to three aircraft to its fleet annually over the next four years, aiming to expand its fleet to exceed 15 aircraft by the end of 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020).
On December 31, Jiangxi Airlines took delivery of its second brand new aircraft from Boeing, which brings its fleet size to five.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, B-1558, is configured with 184 economy seats, featuring Boeing Sky Interior.
Jiangxi Airlines commenced domestic operations in January 2016 as a joint venture between Xiamen Airlines and Jiangxi Aviation Investment Company. It now operates domestic services from its Nanchang hub to Dalian, Guiyang, Haikou, Jinan, Shenyang, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Xiamen, Xi'an, Zhengzhou and Zhuhai.
The regional carrier plans to fly directly to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Kunming, with international services within three years.
