China Airlines, Mandarin Airlines Prepare to Launch Tomb-Sweeping Day Charter Flights to Mainland
Mar. 14, 2008
China Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines will work together to launch tomb-sweeping day charter flights directly to mainland China, from April 2 to 6. A total of four round trip flights to Shanghai have been arranged, including two charters on the Taipei-Shanghai-Taipei route, and two on the Kaohsiung-Shanghai-Kaohsiung route. And for the first time, China Airlines will provide convenient e-services for on-line tickets departing from Taiwan, for charter-flight passengers.
The charter flights are now open for customers who wish to make reservations. Passengers from Taiwan region can reserve their flights not only from the China Airlines web site (www.china-airlines.com) but also by calling the China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines Call Center directly, or they can make reservations through designated travel agencies.
All the charter flights will provide two-class service. With the required mileage, or additional payment, Dynasty Flyer members can upgrade their seats or redeem a free ticket on the charter flights, and Dynasty Flyer members can also accumulate mileage on the charter flights. However, the above Dynasty Flyer member upgrades and redemptions will not be open for on-line service.
Passengers on China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines can use their tickets interchangeably on both airlines, and can combine scheduled flights with the charter flights. Passengers with scheduled flight tickets can switch those tickets to charter flights without an administration charge, and have only to pay the price difference if needed. Passengers can also join China Airlines Dynasty Packages to Shanghai.
