CADAS: Global Airline On-time Arrival Performance Report for February 2017

The Civil Aviation Data Analysis (CADAS) has published the Global Airline On-time Arrival Performance Report for February 2017.
This report reflects the on-time arrival performance of 191 major airlines worldwide for the period from February 1-28, 2017, which was summarized on the basis of VariFlight's vast and timely flight status data.
According to the latest report, 102 of 190 major airlines had over 90% on-time arrival performance, including 30 Asia-Pacific carriers.
Among the 190 reporting carriers, Taiwan's Uni Air had the best on-time rating at 98.11%, followed by Aegean Airlines (97.34%) and Air Nostrum (97.26%).
Apart from traditionally comparisons by regions, to accurate the results, CADAS has further divided airlines into two general categories in terms of average daily flights - large airlines operating more than and including 400 flights daily and others operating fewer than 400 flights daily.
Here are the CADAS' rankings of the leading airlines and their on-time performance for February 2017. On time is defined within 30 minutes of scheduled arrival time.

On-time Performance of Chinese Mainland Airlines
Chinese mainland airlines are divided into two categories according to the number of their daily flights operated in 2016 - major airlines operating more than and including 200 flights daily and other airlines operating fewer than 200 flights daily.
Spring Airlines took the top spot out of 14 of the nation's major airlines, with 87.89% of its flights arriving as scheduled in February, followed by Juneyao Airlines (84.%%) and Air China (83.59%), respectively. Capital Airlines was ranked at the bottom of the category with 78.17% of its flights operated on time.

Joy Air delivered 91.65% of its flights on time in February, the best performance among the 25 airlines (including two start-up airlines in H1) operating less than 200 flights daily. Startup Hongtu Airlines was ranked at the bottom of the list with only 62.41% of its flights operated on time.

Duration: February 1, 2017-February 31, 2017
Passenger flights: only scheduled passenger flights are included in this report; cargo flights, business aviation flights and general aviation flights are not included.
Actual arrival flights: the flights with actual departure and arrival time that could be monitored by VariFlight; cancelled flights are not excluded.
On-time arrival flights: the actual arrival time is no later than 30 minutes after its scheduled arrival time.
On-time arrival performance: the total number of on-time flights divided by the total number of actual arrival flights.
Average arrival delay time: the total delay time divided by the total number of actual arrival flights.
(Delay time for a single flight: difference of the actual arrival time minus the scheduled arrival time. If a flight arrives prior to the scheduled time, the delay time is 0.)
