Ctrip Teams Up With CTI to Promote Inbound Tourism
Aug. 01, 2017
Ctrip recently signed Strategic Partnership Agreement with CTI, a company of Hanban, to promote inbound tourism as well as learning Chinese language.
Hanban, the Confucius Institute Headquarters, is a public institution affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education and is committed to providing Chinese language and cultural teaching resources and services worldwide. Sponsored solely by the Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters, the Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd. (CTI) is an independent legal entity that specializes in Chinese language testing services.
With over 1,000 test centers worldwide, including Confucius Institutes and world-famous universities and education institutes, CTI offers Chinese language learning and testing related services to more than 100 million overseas Chinese language learners. HSK, the most famous Chinese proficiency test for non-native speakers, approximates the English TOEFL or IELTS and has been taken by over 6 million Chinese language learners globally.
As an essential part of the cooperation this year, the campaign "Travelling to China with Visa, Ctrip & HSK" will be launched in the coming autumn. Different from ordinary China trips, the trips organized by Ctrip and CTI will include destinations with profound historical and cultural heritage, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Ancient City of Pingyao, the Terracotta Warriors, etc. The lucky selected travelers will be overseas Chinese language learners and Visa card holders.
As the only online travel agency in China with services for foreigners, Ctrip now offers booking services to 25 million non-Chinese members in 11 languages and payment in 22 local currencies.
