Video: Demand Peaks for Cross-Strait Charter Flights
Apr. 07, 2008
April 6 marked the busiest day for the cross-strait charter flight service, as the traditional Chinese tomb-sweeping festival wrapped up.
Ten flights were scheduled for April 6, catering for almost 1,500 passengers. There are five carriers from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan running charter flights, including China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and China Airlines.
The charter flights began on April 2 and will end on April 8. The cross-strait charter flight scheme for the Qingming Festival began last year.
Charter flights will be available during four traditional Chinese festivals including the Qingming Festival, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Day as well as the Spring Festival.
