Shanghai Airlines, Air China, China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines will change their domestic check-in closing time at Shanghai's Hongqiao airport from 30 minutes before departure time to 45 minutes starting on Apr. 19.

The change is to allow passengers more time to go through security check and other procedures which have become much stricter and more time-consuming.
