Air China Launches Direct Flights to Taiwan From Four More Mainland Cities
Dec. 16, 2008
Air China said it has launched direct flights to Taipei from four mainland cities following a landmark agreement between the Chinese government and Taiwan to improve transport links.
Air China will now fly direct to Taipei from Tianjin, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Chongqing, in addition to its flights from Beijing and Shanghai, which were launched in July.
The agreement greatly reduces journey times, as previously flights had to detour through Hong Kong airspace.
